Leadership Implementation
Here you'll find 3 examples of common 'Most Valuable Ideas' from my Leadership programs and for each one an example of simple, practical actions that can be taken to apply a 'Most Valuable Idea' at work.

The best 'Implementation Plan' is the one that is unique to your specific situation and that you create. So, don't worry if any of the 'Most Valuable Ideas' examples were not covered in the specific program you attended, the purpose of this information is to simply to show an example of what a practical application plan might look like :-)

Strengths Based Leadership
-
Have my team members complete the VIA Character Strengths Survey and discuss their results with them
-
Ask team members what they feel their Strengths are & how they think they could spend more time using their Strengths at work
-
Analyse Key Performance Indicator data and identify one area where a team members has a Strength and ask them about how they feel about sharing key insights in this area at next team meeting

Catch People Doing Something Right
1. Introduce a 'wins' item to agenda for 1 on 1 catch ups with team members
2. Give people advance notice you will be inviting each team member to share one win in one minute or less at the start of each team meeting
3. When I log on in the morning I will send one email or message praising someone and I will celebrate by say to myself 'well done' (Note: this is an example of using a Tiny Habit to implement on an idea)

The Standard You Walk Past is The Standard You Accept
1. Create a reminder sign for yourself and / or your team in the workplace or somewhere it will stay top of mind for you (e.g. your wallpaper)
2. Listen to 'Difficult Conversations' book and address any examples of 'Below Standard' behaviour in a timely manner
3. Ask your team members to share their understanding of the behavioural expectations or 'standards' they think you have of them in their role to ensure people know what the 'standards' are
